The MEDITOP Awards of Excellence for the Yearbook of Medicina were presented

For the twelfth time, the Excellence in Medicina Yearbook Awards were presented at the book launch gala. Many entries were submitted to the competition, which was organised in partnership with professional organisations, and a panel of experts selected the best entries on the basis of a predefined set of criteria. Erzsébet Tóth Nógrádi, Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Medicina Yearbook, thanked the sponsors of the entries and the publication of the Yearbook. Below are the reviews of the winners.

MEDITOP Pharmaceutical Ltd., the sponsor of the Medicina Yearbook, has established a special award for the sixth year in a row in the category of outstanding young pharmacist. the Outstanding Young Pharmacist 2024 Award

It was won by Dr. Bence Sipos.

Dr. Bence Sipos received his PhD degree in 2023 as a student of the Doctoral School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Szeged. His publication activity is outstanding, he is the first author of 26 publications in 13 international journals presenting original scientific results. He has presented his results at 13 international and 27 national conferences. He has won several awards, including the Medicina Competition for Outstanding Pharmacist PhD Students 2022. He is an assistant professor at the University. As a practicing supervisor, he/she has supervised the thesis of 15 students and two of his/her TDK students have been awarded a place at the University conference.

 

Based on the jury’s assessment, the Outstanding Pharmacy PhD Student 2024 Award

this year Dr. Orsolya Péterfi,

a PhD student at the Oláh György Doctoral School of the Budapest University of Technology.

Dr. Orsolya Péterfi graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mures as a pharmacist.Since 2022 she is a PhD student at the Oláh György Doctoral School of the BME, her research is focused on the application of machine vision and spectroscopy in pharmaceutical quality assurance. She is the first author of four international scientific publications and co-author of seven. She won first prize at the Clauder Ottó Memorial Competition for Young Researchers organised by the Hungarian Pharmaceutical Society. As a tutor, she assists TDK students and thesis students. She is active in the modernisation of science.
