XXIII Kárpát MEDITOP kézilabda kupa

XXIII. Carpathian MEDITOP International Women’s Handball Tournament

Between January 31 and February 1, 2026, Székelyudvarhely hosted the XXIII. Carpathian MEDITOP Cup International Women’s Handball Tournament, where Hungarian teams from home and abroad competed against each other.

The two-day event featured high-quality, competitive, and memorable matches, which proved to be a serious test for both players and coaches alike.

The aim of the tournament was to foster and strengthen domestic and international relations, as well as to provide an opportunity to prepare for the spring championship rounds. During the event, we paid tribute to the players of the women’s national team who won the world championship 61 years ago, as well as to the “former captain,” Bódog Török.

The matches provided plenty of excitement for the fans: the tournament offered hundreds of spectators an enjoyable sporting experience and entertainment, while also reinforcing the shared value that maintaining relationships is extremely important for Hungarians living both within and beyond the country’s borders. We believe that despite geographical distance and national borders, we belong to one nation.

The main sponsor of the tournament is MEDITOP Pharmaceutical Ltd.
