Last week, the Managing Directors of MEDITOP Pharmaceutical Ltd. accepted a prestigious invitation to attend a major reception to mark the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
The event was organised by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary and took place in the impressive Matild Palace. Diplomatic representatives, business people and government officials were present at the event to celebrate the growing ties between the two countries.
One of the highlights of the evening was the speech of His Excellency Aybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary, and Márton Nagy, Minister of Economy of Hungary. They both stressed the importance of economic and cultural cooperation, which could further strengthen the relationship between the two nations in the future.
MEDITOP Pharmaceutical Ltd. took a significant step in 2023 when it opened an Uzbek representative office, strengthening its presence in the Central Asian region. Several of our pharmaceutical products are already authorised in Uzbekistan and additional products are in the process of registration. This expansion not only brings new opportunities for MEDITOP, but also contributes to the development of the Uzbek pharmaceutical market.
In May this year MEDITOP Pharmaceutical Ltd. had the honour to receive a personal visit from His Excellency Mr. Aybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary. During the meeting, the Ambassador assured us of his support and cooperation, which gave a new dimension to the relations between MEDITOP and Uzbekistan.
The reception at Matilda Palace was not only a celebration of independence, but also an excellent opportunity for those present to learn about Uzbekistan’s rich culture. Participants enjoyed traditional Uzbek dance performances, music and authentic food, which provided an unforgettable experience for all. During the event, guests were treated to plov, samsa and other Uzbek specialties that brought the typical flavours of the country’s cuisine closer to the Hungarian audience.
