ETP WORK-SHOP IN SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR

Friday, December 3 2021

The Hungarian companies participating in the Healthcare Industry Support Programme (ETP) held their first work-shop meeting in Székesfehérvár on 24.11.2021, which was actively organised by the managing directors of MEDITOP Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

At the workshop, Hungarian companies participating in the government's Healthcare Industry Support Programme (ETP) presented the developments created through the support; together, the 56 companies have implemented more than 80 healthcare developments worth more than HUF 80 billion.

Most of the investments on show at the Székesfehérvár exhibition will be completed this year and will lay the foundations for a Hungarian-owned healthcare industry, as the developments will allow Hungarian companies to compete and export from the almost exclusively foreign suppliers they have had so far. Their consolidation has protected thousands of jobs and ensured the domestic supply of healthcare products during the pandemic. Participants were welcomed by Finance Minister Mihály Varga.

In his welcoming speech, Finance Minister Mihály Varga called the government's Healthcare Industry Support Programme (ETP) one of the most significant economic programmes, launched "at the right time, at the right pace and targeting the right scope" to ensure that the budget supports the security of supply of healthcare commodities and products in the pandemic as effectively as possible, and even to create conditions for self-sufficiency where possible. He recalled that the coronavirus epidemic has increased the capacity for self-sufficiency, particularly in the health sector.

MEDITOP Pharmaceuticals Ltd., with the help of the Health Industry Support Programme, has purchased equipment that will provide the necessary capacity and technological excellence for the production and development of products for the treatment of coronaviruses.
